Everything on a Brio Duet (internal Hydra2 connectivity, comprehensive built-in IO and 96 input channels) plus a Dante 64 card or MADI I/O module, and an external Br.IO box with 24 mic/line inputs, 16 analogue outputs & 8 AES I/O.
Why you need a Brio:
Brio is a plug-and-play fully-featured broadcast console with no DSP sharing so everything is available all the time, making it very flexible. It slots into any broadcast workflow and is easy to drive and learn. In fact, with comprehensive free training, market-leading technical customer support and Calrec’s renowned reliability, Brio meets your needs for years to come.
Simplified layout:
Brio’s surface is designed to be uncluttered, compact and configurable to provide instant access to a large number of audio paths. It’s 15.6” HD touchscreen provides quick access to more in-depth control and a bank of illuminating hardware rotary controls give fast and precise control over parameters displayed in the touchscreen UI.
Self contained:
Brio is entirely self-contained with I/O and PSUs built into the surface. Additional expansion I/O slots are fitted to allow further I/O to be connected to share audio over Calrec’s Hydra2 network or IP networks. This protects the system against emerging formats and allows the console to sit on multiple networks simultaneously.
Broadcast specific:
Brio is a mixing console focused on the needs of broadcasters and designed for broadcast environments. Brio’s scalable and managed I/O, comprehensive monitoring, surround sound and high bus quantities provides dedicated broadcast functionality never before available at this level.
Super flexible:
With installations in news, sports, outside broadcast, eSports, flypacks, education, houses of worship, rental, entertainment and PBS, Brio can support your needs whatever and wherever you are. Its compact size is extremely portable and easy to install, making it ideal as a general-purpose workhorse that can be used as and when needed.
No DSP sharing:
With 96 DSP processing paths, all Brio DSP paths are available on all channels irrespective of whatever else is going on; every single channel has dedicated DSP resources to give you total, stress-free control. Independent DSP operation ensures continuity in the event of a PC or control reset.
Comprehensive training:
Free certified training; mixing on the Brio is straightforward, but getting to grips with technology in our changing landscape can be a challenge. Brio’s certified training course has 17 modules and covers everything from the UI touchscreen, fader layouts, bussing, routing surface config and more.
