This super-compact 38-fader control surface boasts an easy-to-use touch-panel display, along with a streamlined Selected Channel section for simple, intuitive operation. Custom Fader banks, User Defined keys, User Defined knobs, and a Touch and Turn knob give you plenty of hands-on control, while eight channels of analog I/O, dual Mini-YGDAI slots, eight channels of GPI I/O, and MIDI I/O ensure ample connectivity. You also get five USB ports, one of which can be used for direct two-track recording to a flash drive, and dual redundant power supplies that ensure rock-solid reliability. To top it off, the CS-R3 is incredibly ergonomic, offering optimum stage visibility from the engineer’s position. Selected Channel section supplies simple, intuitive operation
Getting around the CS-R3 is a breeze, thanks to its Selected Channel section, which supplies lightning-fast access to any channel’s parameters. All of the control surface’s encoders, buttons, and indicators are laid out in a streamlined manner, which maximizes the available space while maintaining ergonomic comfort. The CS-R3 includes three groups of 12 faders to which channels can be assigned as required. The fader groups work in concert with a 15-inch touch-panel display that employs the Centralogic UI for straightforward control. And they perform admirably, boasting Yamaha’s transparent, natural-sounding Hybrid Microphone Preamplifiers with high-performance analog input stages, plus advanced digital sections with spot-on emulations of Rupert Neve Designs transformers and SILK processing circuitry. Finally, audio interface cards supply your analog and digital I/O and add TWINLANe, Dante, and MADI capabilities to your digital mixing system.
